this damn thing is almost half way around it..
My quad has had this for about a year and i just now noticed it... ( about a motnh ago)

mabey he replaced it before.

my friends explorer 300, was 100 times worse, i was seperated, and the idiot was still driving it.... so go figure.....guess what a carb intake boot, and new topend later was his lesson.... they sure loose compression quick when you are sucking in dirt and dust, acting like sand paper on the cylinder

just get some jb weld if you want a quick cheap fix

because it's been running the same way for about a year.. a year ago my quad wasn't running right and i later found on one of the invoices fro mthe stealership that they found a crack in the boot( around August) and all winter it was fine but i guess when it started warming up it musta started getting beat on a lil more and just started cracking more and then i realized , whe ni went to adjust my idel, that there was that crack there.

ya that be the better way to go but if your dealer is anything like mine it takes like 1 1/2 wekeks for parts to come in and they never have anything in stock and i dont think i could go that long with out riding my quad, lol

o i still ride it.. it seems that whe nthe quad is hot and the idle is about 1.5-2x what it should be it runs fine..

no its a intake or carb boot on a atv and on a vehical such as a car or truck its a intake manifold
