Just got back from the dunes this passed weekend and my ATV was having some problems. It would not get over 40mph on the hard trails. ive had my machine up to 70mph. no it does not even have the power it used to. Belt is fine, Plugs are fine, K&N is clean, Fuel filter is fine. their is nothing in the air box that would restrict air. ANY HELP Would be great

Thanks Gib

Check clutching alot a slipping in sand or snow can wear hard on these units.
Change plugs.

What is the deal with the K&N was is clogged.....An air filter shouldn't cause those problems. Although it is EFI, But it doesn't have a MASF so it really doesn't know it is getting more air. Maybe that is the problem to much air not enough fuel. This is weard. I would like to hear someone else with the same issue.

The ironic thing is. Is that, I just got my filter in the mail yesterday and was looking to put it in today. It is sitting right in front of my face at the moment. Gotta like Ebay.$38 shipped and I got it in 2 days. Yea.

I called today to check on this issue. They have no reports of an issue with this particular filter......Now they did have a problem some years back with one......She was very interested to learn of this problem also. I guess the polaris dealer never contacted them on it eather.

My brother has one on his 04.5 700EFI it has been on there since fall and he has never had any problems.

Just thought I would pass on the info..
