900 Sportsman Turbo on the Dock
#1
I was talking to the trucker that brought us a load of new Polaris's the other day and he asked if i had rode the 900 Turbo that Polaris has out. I was like no they only make a 800 and its not turbo. He swore to me that Polaris had a 900 Turbo at the Factory in Minn. So i was skeptical until today i asked another driver that came in he said sure enought there is one floatin around up there. Polaris wont give us as a dealer any insight on new developments but the truckers see the stuff then tell us. Something to think about tho!

Polaris will be the first to tell you.. They can not exceed 800cc's or 800 lbs. Most states will not allow it.
It sounds like the EFI will be coming on the 2006 500's... That's a bonus.
Later guys...

I think that limit stuff is just a guidline.
Here in michigan the ORV Guide book states up to 500cc is considered a ATV and the MV7 is already overthat limit you have stated on weight.

I find it hard to believe... I could see a turbo 4-stroke snowmobile maybe. I personally think a turbo would be lousy in a rock crawler type atv. You would constantly be fighting turbo lag.

The FST (Four Stroke Turbo) sleds were introduced almost two months ago. It's a 750 twin. A 900 Turbo Sportsman doesn't make a lot of sense from a liability standpoint. These things are inherently unstable at high speeds with a short wheelbase, heavy high center of gravity, and bouncy low air pressure tires. I would think if they were going to try anything like that, it would be a Scrambler style chassis that would handle better.
