Default FMF Mega MaxII on 300ex

Hey guys i just orderd a mega max from rocky mountain and iv'e never had a pipe with those plates on it so is the more of the plates you add the louder and the perfromence better so if you could help that would be great.

I have a megamax pipe on my warrior...More discs=better bottom end/louder Less=better top end/ quiter I went to the website when i first got mine and they had the stuff bout bottom end and top end....but they said less discs is louder...from personal experiences and many times testing less discs and more discs more is louder

You must run at least 8 discs. I run 8 and I also run the quiet core, because I have these on my utilities, which I ride in the national forest and want to be stealthy. Hope you also replaced that pathetic stock header!

"How many discs should I run on my MegaMax?"

"Keep this in mind. Having less backpressure (louder), the more top end power you'll have. More backpressure (quieter), the more bottom end power you'll have. This is true to a certain extent until you get out of the tuning range of the motor. A 250cc motor will only flow so much exhaust. If you're looking for an all around power increase we recommend running 11-13 discs with the quietcore out. For more top end, add more discs and for more bottom end, run less discs with the quietcore installed. Don't run less than 8 discs though."
