Took my header off today, and i'm going to grind the welds off tommorow. What is the best way to do this? Who all has done this?

i used a dremel. it took forever. either get good bits for it or use a tool hooked up to a compressor.

I used a Dremel with a sanding drum. It is a stainless steel weld so it's not easy to do. Just grind most of the bump off. Don't grind too much or collar at end of pipe will come off.

Thanks, the dremel is working much better than a file. Did you notice power increases with this mod?

I didn't notice any big change. They say it's good for one horsepower on top end.... but that's one free horsepower however you look at it.

I didn't notice much when I was riding mine but, when I raced my buddy's Z400 I beat him by a further gap than I used to.
