Any changes for '06 Scrambler? too early?

Just wondering if anyones heard of any changes or upgrades, if any, were coming for the 2006 Scrambler. I know its been the same color for several years now, not that I want them to change anything really, its a great machine.

Polaris should have updated the Scrambler 500 a long time ago. Not to bash it, but it can be improved in many ways. How about less weight, a low range, better handling, and bringing back the fox rear shock. Since Polaris gave the scrammy a cheaper rear shock in 04 and haven't changed much at all, I believe they will eventually drop it from their lineup. I am hoping like everyone else that they keep the scrammy, since it so versatile. One of the last left in its class. I am surprised they have not released a big bore scrammy in the range of a 650-700. For next year, expect to see a lot of changes take place with Polaris atvs. The SP600 is being dropped, the SP700(carb only) is probably also going to see the toilet, along with the TB250 b/c of the two strokes being dropped in account of the new emissions they must pass. The positive side is an 06 SP500efi looks like a very real possibility. In addition to the scrammy, the two magnums and the trailboss need to be improved. They have been neglected too long!

how about low range? i was talking with a dealer here in MN and he said at a Polaris sales meeting, everyone said they would sell more if it had low range. they also should change the front diff like the sportmans so if doesnt have the old hubs in it. 600 or 700 would be nice. i would get a new one if they did all three. otherwise, they are awesome.

I didn't even realize they dropped the rear Fox shock, why do companies do stupid things like that?
Why have such a nice feature like that and then drop it just to save money? Doesn't it just make you look cheap? The damn things cost $6200 anyways. They should bring that back and if anything give it some more power. Low range would be nice, but I haven't really needed it yet. And what do you mean by "last left in its class?" I thought it was just the only one in its class, which I never understood why no one else makes one like the Scrambler. Its the perfect machine, for playing around at least.

since the SP500ho is going to get the EFI treatment, i dont see why they wont do a 500 EFI scrammy. or at least offer up a conversion kit for the carbed scrammies. i would be happy with that.

Matt02Freedom, I said "one of the last left in its class" because the Wolverine is also in the same class as the scrammy. Lets just hope Polaris gives us more than "bold new graphics" for the 06 Scramblers.

The only reason I noticed mine had no fox shock, is I ride with 2 guys that have older scrammys. I was told that this was because of the increased rear travel. I also heard they had a contract with fox that expired, My dealer told me it is a progressive rate spring and is better than the old one! lol He must not ride a new scrammy.
P.S. it is way too early for this stuff!
Last year I heard so many rumers I even regretted getting my scrammy because I felt I should have waited. Good thing I didn't! I hope this year is different but we will just have to wait and see
