I just recently purchased a 240 big bore kit which sets off 39 more H.P. I put it in and went riden with my friends, Before i had the kit i was getting smoked by z400's and just barely beat by warriors, and its now the complete opposite. We'll after the break in period i took it to my friends house (Who has been racing since he was a kid) and he just purchased a TRX250r totally stock. I believe it was stock. well we went riden and i smoked the crap out of him..... out of hole i beat him and he caught up then i hit higher gears and just killed him. I reccomend buying a 240 kit for your yamaha blaster. go with Vitos Performance (what i bought), I also heard that the trinity bore and porting is awesome too. My buddys track is huge and i had a hard time keeping the front end on the ground. I will also have to buy a lowering kit cause it has the attendency to tip.I also have a dg pipe and silencer, which set some sweet sound to the bike. Porting comes custom with the Vitos kit. I'm going out and buying a 30mm carb and v-force reeds along with some sweet body mods. As soon as i get a camera i'll put a picture of my bike on this website.

good to hear! There are better kits out there than the Vitos but its cool to hear that those will still smoke the big bores

 

WOW, i never heard of 39hp more than stock out of a Vitos kit. Thats awesome. Im glad you have one sick blaster, with that 39 hp gain, your putting out what like 55 or so HP. Thats insane. Keep beating those big bore machines.

 

That is crazy, 39 hp out of a 240 big bore kit, that must be one good kit considering your beating z400's and 250r's, after hearing that i think ill sell my z and buy a blaster, put a dg pipe on it and that 240 kit and race mx, 55 hp and i should be beating yfz's and 450r's too. so anyone wanna buy a z400?!?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

I doubt it's a 39 hp increase. Some of the most well built blasters running longrod stroker motors are still only pushing 50.

 

Well, still, a 50hp blaster is an amazing quad wouldnt you say. Considering its what, 16hp stock? Im glad to see that you can bump those little 6 speed dos strokes up with the bigger machines. Good luck with it----Rider1169

 

Im by no means saying a 50hp blaster isn't somthing to brag about, im just stating it requires a little more then just steping up the cc's to reach that goal. The vito kits come not ported but with a 12 port design. 3 exhaut, 5 intake, and 3 transfers. It puts out decent power over stock but ported it could be much better. The real power comes from the bottom end work, long rods, strokers, etc.

 

Thanks for the good comments, i just talked to a pro mechanic and he said that the kit only spit out 31 HP so maybee the company i bought it off of was lien. but still the bike is superfast. I really want to port it, my friend got his predator 500 ported and it made loads more power.
