I am considering upgrading to a558cc predator. I am wondering if I will need to upgrade the ignition.

I am guessing the high rev cdi boxes won't give me anymore spark, but I don't want to spend $300 to $400 on ignition. Is it not possible to upgrade just the coil? Or will I even need to?

I know the Predators are built tough to begin with but I figured a hi-comp., hi-octane motor might need the extra spark...

Any sugestions??

 

I would say yes. Call Doug at Nicholas Cycle I know he is under the weather right now.....so you might want to e-mail him.

 

you don;t have to upgrade the coil but I would at leat put a rev box on it doug has one that raise the rev limit for about 150 or I will sell you my programmable vortex for 325 +shipping, before you put a bbk kit in you rmotor check out dougs stage one kit it will be alot more reliable,
