i have been on this forum for about a year now...i think...and i have never seen or heard of a shoot out between the two...250x and 300ex....i understand their design is completely the same so does the 300ex blow away the 250x in every aspect of racing....or does the x have a chance and a possibility of keeping up with the 300ex...in either trails...drag racing...or supercross...JW...

 

If there both stock its close because the 300ex dosnt have much more power and it heaiver. If you wouldnt to make into a racer your better off doing the 250x because its lighter and dosnt have the eletrical start.

 

I donno man, the 300EX already has more power to begin with, and the frame would be newer. What i suggest doing if you have the money is, buy a 300EX or 250X and by an ATC350X motor and put it in there. They sell kits at powroll.com and with that motor in there those things rip!

 

hey i have a 1988 250x and when it was stock i raced a 300ex and beat mot by much thow now with my modds I kill a 300ex even with the same mods i have its weared on a track, drag and on trails
Right now im at a dead even tie with the 400ex at like 66 or 67 mph

If your talkin to me, i race at all local races around here, and arena crosses in winter. I guess i do alright for what my 4-wheeler has in it, i need to get some extended a-arms, im thinkin about stock 400's for right now, and offset rims. And i may get a cam if i get the money. But no matter how i do i love racin so much.

 

86lt250rfatty guy yes im pulling 35ph at least thats what the engine place said that tested it I dragged a 400ex and it was a dead even tie. so you dont have nothing to worry about with your raptor!!

 

oh at the flywheel you probobly do make 35, i though 35 to the wheels, im like uh thats the same as the raptor

have u had any trouble with ur supre high compresion is it hard to kick over or what (i have never owned a kick start) i have heard they can be a bit tricky to keep reliabilty up when ur comprtesion is over 11-1
