yeah i dont get it either...all those old two strokes were amazing. But the 4 strokes are starting to take over...better motor..same things happening with the dirtbikes as well. Everybodys on a 4-stroke now. Yamaha's even discontinuing their banshee and blaster...so if u want a new one better hurry up and buy one

Yamaha has no choice but stop selling the banshee and blaster's in the US. I haven't heard if they are totally discontinuing them (there is a world outside of the United States).

Honda and Suzuki were the 2 companies with the most law suits in the 80's. ATVing had a bad rap going into the 90's. Sport bikes didn't sell. How many '91-95 banshees do you see? As things calmed down people started getting back into atv's and the sport side really started growing. '99-'02 had to be the biggest selling years for the banshee. You notice as soon as the banshee regained popularity, the other companies followed suit.

Ya no one had ever seen any real power in a quad untill honda and suzuki came out with the 250r's and 500. People were getting hurt and killed all over. I actully had a friend get killed on a lt500 when i was in 7th grade. He never should of been on it in the first place. Lt500 and a 80lb 12 year old kid.

So why didn't they bring them back when the sport world started picking up again?

Well, California banned 2 strokes years ago. All the manufactures new it was coming so why spend the $ redesigning, marketing, etc on something that could be banned the next year in the other 49 states?

They banned to strokes? If they did it didn't go through. They're still selling banshees and blasters up here at RYS

They get by with it by selling them as "closed course competition only".
