the 3rd jet?

ok i know the main. i know the needle. but what is the third jet for and what dose it do? its a 42.5 in a stock carb for a pred. thanks

Thats probably your pilot jet and it controls your mixture at idle.

no the pilot is a 45 and its longe and thin. this outher one is just like the main a small round but its a 42.5. there is a total of 3. main, pilot and ?

the 3rd jet?

You have a needle jet, main jet(#150), pilot jet (#45), jet (#42.5), main jet (#150), Main jet (#110), jet (#120) air jet (paj1). You have a total of 7 jets on the carb. Not sure what they all do though.
