I lost my key and need to know how to start my 400ex without it. Does anyone know how to hotwire it?

 

Take your switch out and there is a code stamped very lightly into the side of it. Your dealer can cut you a key with that code. Better yet, take the switch out and take it to your dealer to verify fitment before you leave for home with it.

Sorry, but you will likely not find anyone here willing to give hot wiring instructions to anyone that they do not know personally. Too many of us have had our rides taken by those who didn't work for them if you know what I mean.

you can just take your key switch out and leave everything un pluged that leads into it but cover it up with tape so no dirt gets into the wires and then all you half to do is start it up this should be what your looking for
