Default Pingy Oil Tank

Anyone know where I can order a Pingry Oil Tank? Did a search and came up dry.

Here's a pic of one.

I don't think they make one for the DS. Looks like someone used one made one for another bike work for the DS. IMO

Try:
crowleyoffroad.com
gopartsdirect.com
albaaction.com
Pingry's Motorcycle (661) 822-7016

I think I might have to look into getting/making a aluminum oil tank for the ol'DS.

For me, I'm looking for a oil tank that is lighter & cools the oil better.

Well, after doing some research for you, it appears to be the Raptor's oil tank by Pingry mounted into the DS frame. I would call and check on the distance on mounting holes before you install, here is the company information:
Pingry Pro Design Racing
555 Tehachapi Blvd
Tehachapi, CA 93561
Telephone: 1-661-822-701

You're welcome

Phil, I talked to a guy at PPD and he stated that only two oil tanks were ever produced for the DS. The cost per tank was close to $500 ea. He stated that the cost was to high to sell mass quanities so it was canned. My problem is my stock tank was damaged in a crash and instead of replacing the stocker, I wanted a light weight aluminum tank. Oh well!

An aluminum tank can't be that much lighter than the stock can it? Theres not that much metal there to start with. If you go with a larger tank like the one in the picture it will probably wiegh a little more than the stock DS tank because of the thicker aluminum needed and the extra material used to build it. Could be wrong though?

When I had to replace my stock oil tank, I couldn't believe how much the empty oil tank weighed. Looking for lighter parts.

The stock tank weighs a ton. Just like everything else on this quad!
