Powroll 415 cc bore kit (400ex)
#2
Yes, you will have to have your cylinder bored to accept the larger piston. I do not know what Powroll includes in their "kit," but have you considered just buying thparts yourself and saving the money? You can buy whatever piston you want directly from Wiseco. If you are going to change the piston, then I assume you will want a new cam also. Those can be bought straight from Webcam. E-mail me if all of this interests you and you would like some help.

The Powroll stuff is TOP shelf. They use JE or Arias pistons. Wiseco isn't even in the same league.
Call Powroll and talk to Tom Walton. Tell him the guy who got the last 2 King Quad kits sent you. TRUST him to provide quality parts/service.

Slyder -
I was doing some searching and seen that you had an Edelbrock carb ordered for your 440. Did you get it on? How does it run? I have the 440, web cam, port/polish head, and stock carb. I am in the same boat as you - I still run the same jet as when it just had a pie and filter. Let me know what you found out.

Where have you heard such things about Wiseco pistons? All I know is that they have been in business for a long time, and that does not happen in the performance industry if you sell crap. I have also had no problems with the Wiseco pistons I have used.
Regardless of what piston you want to use, my point is, why pay someone like Powroll extra money to sell you a piston and some gaskets and call it a "kit"?? Just buy the parts individually, yourself. If the company is actually packaging more than just the piston and gaskets, I could see things differently. But, from what I have seen, this is not the case. Does Powroll grind their own cams, or do they buy them from someone else, like Webcam?
