I have an 87 quadzilla. I am in the process of restoring it, it is completely apart. I did not notice how many cracks I actually have in my swingarm, some look fatal. I went to the dealer and new lists for $595. Is it possible to weld the swingarm up? How does it hold up? Does anyone know of an aftermarket swingarm stock length that is cheaper?

Thanks in advance

Dom,
I know we had a disscusion earlier about swing arms and the chain ajustment system, and you told me that you liked the factory, and i think it is kinda goofy when compared to other models. If you have to buy a new one go check out Legear, or lone star, I have a leager swingarm on my zilla and it also cost me 595, but it came with a new bearing carrier included in that price. With the Legear swingarm I can adjust my chain in 2 minutes with 1 allen key, I can even adjust it on the trail since I keep an allen key in my handle bar pad. I have the factory one off of mine, if you might want it e-mail me. I have the swing arm but you will have to use the bearing carrier from yours since I gave my bearing carrier to a friend. See ya

Ps. DOM, If you need any leads on parts or tips i might have learned just e-mail me. I just finished my Zilla about 2 months ago and she is pretty trick.

the quadracers are famous for swingarm cracks i have a -2 aftermarket tube swingarm made by a company that is out of buiness now on my 500. The stock one is a piece of junk even on an lt250 i cracked the swing arm on the left side were the piviot bolt goes. I would reccommend Lagers they start at $499 and go up from there and $150 extra for chrome. i am buting one for my tc405ex these swingarms are very well made
