what's the best way to remove saftey stickers without scratching up the plastic?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

I use a hair dryer. Heat it up and peel them off. It will take a while, but it works.

 

I was washing the plastic with my pressure wash one day and it blew a sticker right off.

 

I used a blow drier to remove my decals. a heat gun will work also but be careful because if you use a high heat-heat gun and get it to close you could melt the plastic, this is why a hair drier works good. you could pressure wash the decals off but then you have to be careful not to gouge the plastic with the pressure washer. if there is any glue remaining on the plastic when your done just use some goo gone to remove it.

 

Yea hair dryer works well, I have heard you will pick of a few more hp with them off![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

Must be like that old saying, if it don't go chrome it right? that is one of the things I like about polaris is that they use decals and not recessed plates that are rivited on like yamaha, suzuki, kawasaki, honda use. I feel that for as much as we spend on these machines the least the manufacturers can do for us is to use decals so we have the option to remove them or leave them on. I prefer the looks of a quad with no warning stickers, it gives it a more cleaner look.

 

Yea, you polaris guys are lucky. The worst honda decaled one is the 300ex. Its got that damn hump right in the middle of the left front fender. Luckily i shaved mine off and dont have to worry about it.

 

i used a pressure washer. once i got them off, i wiped off any extra adhesive with goof off and washed it right away. i hated those ugly stickers

 

I tried using a heat gun and melted mine!!! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] What the hell was I thinking.....I should have just left it! Now I need to order a new one to cover up my bad work! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]

 

My pressure washer is a 1600 psi and it won't hurt the plastic.
