Default water limit with clamp-on, rolsmojave?

just wondering what the what the limit is for how deep of water or mud i should go thru with the clamp on filter. i usually go thru mud up to the front sprocket and water up to the botttom part of the cylinderhead. will i be good al long as i dont go in mud or water up to the filter or will it hurt anything if water or mud splashes on the filter. will a outerwear help out alot? i dont have the aluminum air box finished up yet so i need to know what the limits are for now. rols, i thought you would know because i think you are the only other person here with a clamp on.

i've crossed cricks with no problems....if you can get a Water Proof Outerwear do it....i really don't ride in mud with it but i have noticed that mud and water don't really go by the filter unless your doing doughnuts or hitting water at speed....If i were you..i'd get one and try it out...and if it don't work just go back to stock...i can't really tell how it'll work for you because i don't mud with it...hope this helps ya out

if you're going in mud up to the bottom of the head...then there is no why this would work for you...lol....since the carb and air filter would be in the water then

i worded that wrong...........i think i have enough common sense to not go in water past the carb, lol...........i ment i go in mud up to the cylinder where it bolts to the bottom end, lately i have been getting the 2 confused becasue i just rebuilt my 43cc scooter engine and the cylinder and head are one peice not 2 and i have been so used to looking at that so i have been calling everything a cylinder head...............anyways.............

did you get the 6 inch long clamp on or the 4 inch?
