YFZ 450 mod's?

My brother has the same setup, except he has an open air box with a k&n filter and rejetted the carb. I think he's looking at getting the cdi next. That quad rips!! I love it. Skid plate and grab bar are the only other things he has done so far.

If you put the piston in.....make sure you run the race fuel...all the mods + piston run to hot for the motor to handle...the fuel is $9.00 / gallon but will add about 3-4 H P and the engine will run significantly cooler and cleaner. I have'nt dyno'd but my tech says I'm close to 54 horses and by the way, at least where I live, everybody comes in 2nd place.

i really like the ron woods intake
it is very nice but kinda pricey
my buddy has one and it made a pretty noticeable difference over the gytr pro flow with k&n
the only thing is that you cant run an airbox any more
he cut his airbox up to keep mud off of the bottom of it but you definitely cant get it wet
one of my buddies has the dyna CDI and it caused his bike some problems and i have heard of others having problems with this cdi
you might have good luck with one but i suggest the GYT-R one if you get one
is it an 05 cause if not you may need to replace the decompression plug
what type of riding do you do?
