Default where do you get your K&N oil?

Where is the best (read cheapest) place to get the K&N cleaning kit?
Actually I only need the K&N oil for now if they sell it that way.

Also do you use an alternative oil (although I wouldn't recommend it)?

I usually just get it at the auto stores.

thanks,

Jim

I get my K&N filter oil from the local bike shops here (I know that don't help you much in that dept.). I have used the KLOTZ filter oil for K&N guaze type filters, with no problems. The only thing I did not like about using the KLOTZ filter oil is that it is almost clear, which makes it a harder to see if you miss a spot, compared to the red K&N oil.

Thanks Chris

Amsoil makes a filter oil available in bottle or spray can. It's also cheaper than K&N's.

Thanks for the help guys.

I got the Bel-Ray brand Fiber filter oil for $6 (16oz.) at Magic Racing instead of the K&N oil for $8 (12oz.).

I have the Bel-Ray chain lube and its quality stuff, the guy working there said its the same and just as good as the K&N oil.

They had like three different brands and sizes available as well as the cleaners in bulk.

All the auto stores only sell the K&N recharger kits and that only includes a 6.5 oz. oil. Kits range from $10-13.

Thanks,
Jim
