Default footbrake for dinli diamondback 90

I have looked over the web and can't find any info about weather the diamondback has a rear FOOTBRAKE. Anyone know if they have one or is it just a hand brake. Also, what were the 2004 diamondbacks 90cc selling for? A rumor i saw was that the 2005's would have dual a-arm suspension, does anyone know if that is true?

For a possible foot brake, surf:

If I remember correctly, a few mini Quad dealers like Hetricks also sell a customized foot brake for many brands. You need to call them to inquire their parts & price for each brand of mini. I also remember a few R&D folks like Marvette (out of WRH Racing) was also doing some experimenting in the foot brake area as well. As a suggestion, give each of them a call.

Hope this helps...

The 2005 Dinli's are dual A arm models and the 90's retail for $1999. There is a footbrake as well as all performance parts for the Dinli's available from Maximum RPM. The dual A arm models are well worth the $$ for racing or just trail riding. When an eight year old can tell the difference, it must be quite a diference.

In the old days, I used to read lots of posts from many stating that a foot brake "is a great thing". I even remember Greg Peak stating that "one is crazy for putting a young rider on a mini without of foot brake". At times, I used to laugh at the contents of these posts. During our many trail rides, I used to watch my son struggle with his hand brake levers. After lots of research, design and fabrication, we finally made a foot brake (even though cable based) for our Pred-90. I can tell you first hand from a BEFORE and AFTER experience, foot brakes do work. They are much better then hand brake levers. If your young rider is "struggling" with their hand brake levers, do consider building &/or buy a foot brake system. Foot brakes really do work!!!!! To me, they are more then a control comfort. They are a dramatic safety increase feature. Sure wish CPSC would enforce mandatory foot brakes on all minis. Sure wish they make DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) on minis as well. If / when we upgrade our Pred-90, the higher CC model, it will definately have a foot brake system. And it will have hydro rear disc brakes as well. If you save $20.00 / week in your upgrade jar, you'll have enough dollars to purchase a foot brake in very little time. Something to think about.... Gee. I'm implying "one is crazy for putting a young rider on a mini without of foot brake" too. I better stop that. Hope this helps....

I agree with the need for footbrakes for kids (and adults), still hard for me to believe that they don't come standard on all kids quads. Thanks for the info fellas. I checked the dinli site for dealers in my area and didn't come up with much, and it says that there are no dealers within 200 miles of Denver either. Anyone know of any dealers near western south dakota,or the denver area?

Check the Maximum RPM site and locate a dealer, I'm sure you'll find one there.
