Will a 300ex do good in the snow??
#2
It isn't really the quad that hooks up, it's the tires. I don't recall what Honda puts on the 300ex, but usually stock tires are designed to fit the price that the quad manufacturer wants to pay, not necessarily what is best. For example, Yamaha uses a Dunlop slip n' slide which is pretty useless for any serious riding, so I would say the 300EX would be as good as any quad and better than some in snow.

True about the tires. All stock factory tires should be changed to get the best performance out of your bike. Also the 4 strokes will do better in the snow. I have both and the 2 strokes just spin and make holes. The 250x i have travels right on through.
