My Honda 300EX has no power won't turn over no lights come on. It ran fine when I put it in the garage and now it gets no power. I put in a new battery in but it still won't even try to start. Could you please help me?

 

Is your ground wire tight? Does your neutral light come on? Is the fuse by the battery working? Can you coast start it?

I sanded frame where ground wire is. Fuse is still good. It wouldn't start when I tried to jump going down the hill.

 

Neutral light won't come on.

 

I unpluged and cleaned all wire conections and also tried to jump the starter starter turned but no spark.

 

Sounds like you might have a problem in your keyswitch or the killswitch.

When I have tried to start it in the past the lights will come on even when killswithch is off it still should turn over right?

 

This one could be real easy or real hard. Of course even harder on the net.

Sounds like you have a dead short somewhere. First make sure the battery is good. DO the head lights come on? If so then it's more in the kill switch area, neutral switch, etc. If no headlights then it's further back. Check any and all connections under the key. My Rancher have about 5-6 plugs there. unplug and plug them back in. Look for rub places on the frame.

yea it should still turn over. It would just stop you from getting spark. The problem isn't in the killswitch.

Check all the wiring and move it around like Rob said. It really sounds like you have a short somewhere.
