Default No Spark - Sportsman 500

Lot of discussion about no spark. My dealer tells me the most common problem (outside of the usual problems) is the coil wire on the 2004 Sportsman gets "pinched" and needs to be replaced - you may be able to get this fixed on warranty? I suspect this problem happens on the other models and years of Polaris.

If it's a 04 that is deffintly your problem. Your dealer will fix it under warranty, There was a service bulliten from Polaris.

Had the same thing here, no spark, because the wire is routed between the gastank and the frame. As you ride, the insulation wears away and eventually it just grounds your spark. Quad was in and out of the shop in under two hours, no appointment. All covered as it was a recall/service bulliten.
