ok i have a 04 scrambler 500 and i was looking into racing, i know that automatics arent necisarily meant for racing but i was thinking about either motocross or hare scrambles. anyways what kinda mods can i get for that to make it go faster? thnx

Get a pipe, clutch kit, and a k&n filter and that will make it faster,
but i hope you don't expect to be able to run with 450's because
those things are rockets.

 

how fast will it go with those mods?

 

You probably won't gain too much top speed, but you'll gain a little on the botom end.
The clutch kit isn't going to give you any more mph on top end like some people
may try to tell you. To get more mph you'll have to gear higher witch would probably
hurt the bottom end. With mods i mentined you'll be able to get the front tires off the ground
a little bit better and that's always fun!

I would get the HPD power maxx pipe, along with a K&N filter (and jets), and a good clutch kit. I had a 400 Scrambler that would scream, so yes you could race it, I did. Post this in the Polaris forums thay will help you out.

 

send your motor out to fst and have mike do either a 600 or 628 big bore kit in it. look at upgrading your suspension to handle to added abuse you are going to encounter. you are going to need better tires, and a better pipe for it. you are going to need a chain tensioner. and if you are doing moto-cross you are going to need to replace your rear axle to handle the jumps. you are going to need to add weld supports to your frame the 500 is a heavy pig for huge jumps. that should get you started. hope that helps ya somewhat.

 

get a pipe, airfilter, jets, and better suspenition also londer axle,A-arms you will be happey with that!!
