Are you 100%sure all of the oil passages form the oil pump/ through the cover/ up the cylinder bolt/ to the head are clear? Is the o-ring on the correct cylinder stud? Have you checked into the oil pump? Are the "gears" in spec?

I agree with Thrash, also don't forget about the little rubber oil hole plug located to the right of the cam bushing! Sometimes they like to stick to the cylinder head cover during removal and the fall off soon after and you don't even realize its missing. It must be there for proper oiling.

I used MOOSE brand of gaskets when I rebuilt my X but the cylinder base gasket was not punched properly (compared to the OEM Honda gasket) on the right rear cylinder stud which is the stud 'port' used for oiling so I altered it rather than dink around with some customer service rep. Whether it would have worked un-altered I have no idea but I didn't wanna ruin my newly modified engine because of a badly punched gasket.

With that brand of gaskets I also had to modify the oil rotor cover gasket because the outside diameter was too large and wouldn't fit into the cover. I have bought many MOOSE products but some are very crappy(carb kits are total junk!)

A fine example of the MOOSE carb kits, the 200X kit comes with a round float bowl o-ring! Anyone have a 200X with a round float bowl? Then I told him I bought a MOOSE kit for my Kawasaki Mojave that contain a pre-formed gasket to match the bowl and he told me on the 200X the gasket has to be 'hand formed to match the bowl, what a dumb a$$! Don't think I bought any of the MOOSE products since.
