TRX 400 and the 400ex.. i just looked them up on Honda.com and they look different but they are the same engine size in the sport category.. is one of them new or soemthing.. never seen a TRX 400 before.. someone clarify this..
In my opinion, it is kinda stupid to have 2 sport machines with the same engine size...

 

I saw this also, and noticed that one of them is an 04 and the others are 05 and 06's. Looks like the 06 400ex only change is that you can get it in black now, same with the 300ex. C-mon Honda, step it up a bit!!

 

TRX400EX is the full name of the quad.

 

ya that last guy was right and its just an updated 400ex basically. Like the raptor 700 but just looks for the 400.

 

yes its the full name, they updated the plastic for 05' to look like the 450

 

The dang Sportrax is the 04 model, the trx400ex is the 05 and 06 models. Only difference in the 05 and 06 is that 06 you can get it in black now.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Honda sport quads are called "Sportrax" and utilities are called "Fourtrax".

 

Yup, but one is the 04 model, the other is the 05 and 06 model. If your looking at Honda's website the sportrax 300ex is the 04 model, the trx300ex is the 05 and 06 model. Anyone else [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]??

 

For 05 and 06 Honda is calling them trx300ex, trx400ex, and trx450r. (the sports anyway)
