Default ATV Insurance

Hi Guys and Gals,
I just bought a 2004 Sportsman 700 and I'm looking for a good deal on insurance and would like any info., pro or con that you can help with. I called Allstate and they want $300 for $5000.00 worth of coverage which seems pretty high to me. Anyone use Progressive or Geico etc.? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have Progressive insurance. Made a claim on it last year with no questions asked. I wrecked my quad, took it to the dealer and called Progressive. Picked up my quad two weeks later... Highly recommended.

Progressive was the cheapest as well.

Call 1-800-466-4899

Ask for Gary, He owns Southwest Insurance (Progressive agent)

Tell him your with ATVOFFROAD Club of Michigan and that Tom send ya, see what he can do for you. Insurance is a funny game and yes it's a game.

Gary is an ATV rider and will soon be a member, in fact ask him where my membership form is, he'll laugh.

I am currently going through american modern at I believe $740yr for both 700EFI's, I called gary and he said he could do both for $428. I am switching very soon. three hundred bucks is three hundred bucks!!!

polaris just sent me some papers on insurance for my new predator le and they wanted 600 a year. I thought that is ridiculous. 10% of a vehicles worth is way to high. It should be 3% to 5% of vehicle worth. Would you pay 3 grand a year for a 30 grand car. I hope not.

I have to pay 2400 a year for my durango. Of course for some reason it seems like everytime I speed I get a ticket. Or maybe it's everytime I drive I speed. I forget which one. I'm going to check into adding it on to my homeowners insurance. I really just want to make sure I have extra liability in case something happens to someone elses equipment.

I have insurance on my Phoenix . It is a little over $200 a year . It has theft and collision on it , BUT , the most important thing is liability and medical insurance . My biggest concern is a lawsuit , I have seen it happen . I carry a big liability policy on my ATV.

My advice is don't live in NY state.
Laibility is $100.00/year and is maditory if you take it off you own property. I don't carry collision/fire/theft against my better judgement but the extra cost is rediculas in this state.
I ice fish, hope i never have to fish it out of the lake.

I live in Illinois, and With our statefarm we have homeowners, 2 cars, and life insurance. When I called it set me back $52 for the year. Thats for $5000. The more policies you have through one company the cheaper over all it is. Both me and the wife also have clean records so Im sure that helps. Plus we have had statefarm for over 10 years.
