If I had to buy one now I would say get the YFZ b/c its a proven bike. I would give people some time to test the 06' Raptor. Somebodys got to get one and test it out though. Let us know what you decide. If you get the 06 Raptor, we need feedback.

 

ide wait a year to see how the new 700 rappy performs and holds up...this also depends greatly on your riding style...are you going to be on the track allot if so get the yfz450 if your gonna do trails,dunes some track, roads, etc the rappy would be a better choice.

 

get the the yfz, its great in trails,dunes,track,roads,etc.

 

remembert the raptor now has a stance lik a yfz soo will ti b a contender in mx?

 

personally i would wait a year on the raptor, b/c you know as well as i do what the 01 raptors were like... wait a year to see the defects that it has (if any) ... but this is just my opinion.. hope this helps

 

The YFZ is going to be finaly a 449 instead of the 439 the previous years.

 

YFZ450 if you're gonna run it on a track
Raptor 700 for everything else

I've been saving for a couple of years to buy a new quad & I'm gonna buy the YFZ. The Raptor 700R looks wicked, & I'll bet they will be a nice quad, but I've wanted a YFZ ever since they 1st came out & now they have improved it a bunch....especially the new swingarm, not to mention the increased displacement, new tires, more rear suspension travel...new seat......now, which color to pick?????

 

The Raptor is going to be a lot closer to the YFZ in stock performance now. I would say YFZ if you are racing, Raptor for trailriding.
