Change the spark plug that will probably do it. If you ride it slow, most two strokes will load up the plug and cause it to run bad this is especally true for old ATC 250R's. If that doesn't work try cleaning the carb or are you sure you have the right jets in it? If it is running rich it will cause the plug to foul, engine to bog and it will keep fouling plugs untill you get the right jets in it.

I always carry a couple of extra spark plugs (pre-gapped) and a plug wrench. If my quad just kinda bogs down almost like it just ran out of fuel, I just change plugs. When I'm riding really slow and it acts like it's going to just "blubber" and quit, I clutch it and rev it up and clear it out.
If it was running good until it just "quit" on you, that should be the first thing to check. If your plug is OK, how about the air filter? A really dirty air filter will make your 2 stroke run rich. After you check your plug and air filter, then dive into the carb if you still have a problem. My 2 stroke is really elevation sensitive so I also have main jets and a jet tool along. Hope this helps.
