Default Aussie bloke needs some answers

Hey new to this forum
I was just wondering about the yfz and banshee. Yeh i know its been said over n over about which is better in sand
eg a stock yfz is better
a piped banshee is better or if it has heaps of mods it will be better.
When yous say this, does this mean the same mods are done to both models?

I'm into cars and the way that works is by a lil rule "theres no replacement for displacement"
So how can a banshee be better? 2 stroke i know (i have a kx125 and i've seen 125, 250 and banshees struggle in sand), i thought the 4 strokes would have the torque to rip through the dunes better then the banshee?

Is it just the riders? or is good old aussie sand harder to ride?

Suppose if you really want to go over board you can just bolt a turbo charger on the yfz.

sorry if this has been repeated but from the 3000 of the same topics i couldn't find one to explain my queries

banshee higher maintenance, cheaper mods to go faster

yfz 450, newer technology, faster, lighter, more expensive,

look into a torque monster for the sand like a DS 650 or a raptor 660/700

The displacement rule doesnt hold true in the ATV world. And of course anybody can take any quad and mod it up to beat any other quad. The thing you need to ask yourself is "Do you want 2 or 4 stroke?" Personnally, Im a 4 stroke kinda guy myself. YFZ450 all the way

I'm like 180cm or about 5'11 n pretty light - 60 kg. So the 660s and such are outta my league.
Why doesn't the displacement rule apply?? N yeh i'm getting sick of fixing smoky 2 strokes that why im probably gunna get the yfz

I disagree........ There is not a stock bore Banshee out there thats puts out over 100hp..... But you can get that kind of power from a big bore.....

I meant when comparing different quads, example - YFZ 450 vs Predator 500. The Pred has more displacement but the YFZ has more power.

heres some advise from another aussie. the banshee is a true bloody screamer. it has plenty of power to rip through the dunes but its a little more yaaka to ride on the dunes than a fourstroke. you are constantly changing gears to keep in the powerband. and you can rev twostrokes more than fourstrokes so if keeping in the powerband isnt as hard as it seams. ive ridden a banshee and a raptor in the sand and i much prefered the raptor for its tourqe, you can kind of lug them in a higher gear with out shifting so offten. i hope all this makes sence
