reliability, as in just being able to get on it and ride (not much maintnance), a cannondale is not the way to go. dont get me wrong i love my cannondales but they do take a LOT of maintnance. its completely worth it when your riding it. when i go riding with the 450r's and the honda 400ex's i have no problem staying ahead of them. ive ridden quite a bit of quads (racing) and i thought the cannondale was the best one, power, everything. they are some what reliable but sometimes the computers tend to go goofy, so then you have to hook them up the the lab top and recalibrate everything.

Sounds like you want a Honda 400ex. They handle great and are reliable, unfortunetly they are just a little underpowered.

im thinking of getting a dale, what type of maintenence are we talking about here? fluids and grease fittings or bearings and seals.

also what goes on with the computer? and would a 386lap top be fast enough to use on one?

what is prone to needing maintenance above a normal quad.

Any windows base computer can handle the software.

As far as reliabilty I wouldnt trust a nonupdated ,never been gone through dale engine as far as I can spit. On the other hand spend a couple hundred bucks and do all the updates (not just the factory ones) and Ill put that Cannon up against any quad of equal caliber.

The thing is what are the updates besides the factory updates. There are a lot of individuals out their that have done great things for these machines. I know I do not have all the updates done to mine because I only seen the factory recalls listed. I know other forums. However I never seen anything about all updates. That would be a good sticky on one of the forums.
