Do I need to bleed brakes?
#1
Ok, so it appears as if my brakes are worn (about 1200 miles) but its hard to tell without pulling them. Anyhow, I think I'm going to order some new pads tomorrow and replace them. Do I have to change the brake fluid/bleed when doing so? My buddy that's going to do it doesn't feel that it will be necessary. Any opinions, facts, or suggestions? Thanks....

You don't need to bleed the brakes unless you break into the system and you won't have to on a pad replacement. Brake fluid is hydroscopic (it likes water) so every other year or two you should flush the system and replace the fluid.
