Question about Kodiak 450
#1
I have a question about the Kodiak 450,I have a great deal on buying one. I need something to plow snow with in the winter, mow the grass in the summer and haul some field stones out of the field next door for landscaping. I already have a plow from an old Honda my ex-brother in law let me borrow. I live in the country and have over 2 acres to mow and the driveway is about 400 ft long. I was going to get a 63" pull behind mowing deck, to cut the mowing time down. I now use a Garden Tractor with a 48" deck and it takes approximately 2 1/2 hrs to do.
So I was wondering if you guys thought the Kodiak would be right for the job. I looked at the Grizzly and the Polaris but don't really don't want to spend that much money. I have a Raptor that I race MX so most of my money goes to this. I would also like to take the Kodiak to the Bad Lands to ride that way I can save my Raptor, I've seen alot of people wreck their quads riding there. Take Care and Ride Safe.

Can't really help you out with the mowing part of it, although I'm sure the Kodiak will do fine with its water cooled engine. I can tell you about the plowing part of it. I bought an 05 Kodiak 450 with a warn winch and a 60" Moose County plow. The Kodiak really plows! Like you, I was going to go with the Grizz, but just didn't want to spend the extra $. I would say go for it, if you got a real good deal. Good Luck. Hope this helps.
