Stupid Anti tactics
#1
here's an e-mail that I received in regards to a suit filed by the anti's:
ATVAM Members:
Anti-Access proponent, Senator John Marty, has filed a complaint with the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board against ATVAM, Polaris Industries and Governor Tim Pawlenty. The complaint states that ATVAM and Polaris Industries violated the Ethics in Government Act, Chapter 10 (“gift ban”) by allowing Governor Pawlenty to ride an ATV during our annual Spring Convention on May 6, 2005 and that Governor Pawlenty violated the “gift ban” by riding the ATV.
This obvious attempt to derail our legislative efforts and smear all the parties in the complaint should be a good indicator to all what we are really dealing with at the capitol. Our anti-access opponents will go to any lengths to try to keep us off of public lands.
We need your help today to fight off Senator Marty and his anti-access friends. Because of this complaint, ATVAM has hired a law firm to represent our interests. Now, we need your financial help to help pay for these legal fees.
Your contribution to the ATVAM Offense/Defense Fund will go towards paying to fight off our opponents. Your contribution of $25, $50 or $100, or whatever you can afford, can be mailed to ATVAM, PO Box 557, Osseo MN 55369 or made on line at www.atvam.org. Please act today!!
Thank you for your help and continued support of ATVing in Minnesota!
