anyone know how to change a sterring pivot bearing?

Have you taken the nut off the steering stem and removed the stem?
If so, go down from the top side where the steering pivot bearing is located. There should be a seal. Remove it. Under the seal there should be a circlip (internal c-clip). You have to remove it. Then you tap the bearing out from the bottom of the quad upward.
This is how Honda put it together for the 400ex anyhow. I tried to look at the diagrams at Service Honda. Looks to be about the same except that miss labeled the circlip and called it a cotter pin.
