i want to add lights to the r i was wondering what kind i should get, how much they cost, and how hard they are to install. just to let you know it does not have a stock light/ kill switch nor key but i do have a after market kill switch that i pretty much use as a key. the wireing harness does have the stock square looking plug connecter for the factory light but i was more thinking twords an aftermarket set that are smaller my main issue is how to turn them on and off since i do not have the light/ kill switch.

Some of the guys here have the 2 small type that you see on ebay.They just use a toggle switch to turn them on/off.They put a plug connection on the switch so they can take them off easily when they arent riding the dunes(no good places to night ride here).Does your harness have the rectifier hooked up(small,silver,square box),youll need it for the lights.

 

Check TrailTech or LazerStar.
TrailTech has some really nice HID's that only draw 13w. They run about $100 each.

 

Tough to beat the stocker... prolly find one on fleabay for cheap

 

can i use a light from a 250x or 300ex or does only the stock 250r light work>???
