what do i do trx 450

i just got a trx 450. and ive heard there geared too high. so u drop a tooth but dosent that slow down ur top end? i was thinking about getting a sprocket but which one do i get front or rear? and what kind is good ?

I like the tall gearing for the open desert, but it is to much for trail riding. My solution is that I just don't trail ride the 450.
For the trail, lots of posts on folks who have gone one tooth smaller in the front. Or for a compromise, you could go one or two teeth larger in back. (1 tooth in front = three in back) Either way, you will lose some top end, but have a more controlable powerband on the bottom end.

The front is alot cheaper, but they would be the same as far as ease of changing. Stock is 14/38 and most trail riders go to 13/38. A front sprocket will be around $15-20 and a rear will be around $40.
