50ccs and Independent Rear Suspension on the Brute Force vs Strait Rear Axle on the Prairie. I am highly considering buying a Prairie myself. Thats the major differences in engine and suspension. Also the body styles and plastics are different.

the prarie is a time proven quad and the brute is not.
all the mags dont like the irs they say it need more work.
i had an irs 03 500 cat and the irs sucked on steep hills.
too much travel and it was alway popping the front end up on hills.
scarry.
the sra is a better trail and bush quad.
the brute is a better mud and dirt road quad.
with bigger tires on the brute im sure it handles better then with the stockers.
but im not sure cause i havent road one.
the only irs quad iv road is my cat and a 660 griz.
and i liked the irs ride for its smoothness and comfort.
but when you go off road and into the bush the sra quads will leave them behind.
the prarie was quad of the year from when they came out till this year.
and the only reason kawi is not #1 this year is because there pushing the brute so it came in last.

I am gonna try and get a Team Green Prairie myself later this year. Dirt Wheels still has the Prairie ranked #1 this year in the shootout. Although they talk like the new Bombardier 800 might be the new heir to the throne this month.

the brute force is bad a$$....i dont care what all the mags say...they need to grow some nuts and adapt to machine flaws
i think the flaws need to be fixt befor you can call it bad a$$.
more like just bad suspention.

mudblaster,
Ive ridden a lot of quads and the BF 750 is a good running, good handling, smooth riding machine. I dont see anything wrong with the Brute whatsoever. From your post it seems that you might have not even ridden the BF....so you probably DONT KNOW...maybe you have. And mags like Dirtwheels and Four-wheel atv action are just a bunch of office nerds who get off on downing the machines that dont spend enough money on ads in their pages. Its the way of the world....money = good reviews. THINK ABOUT IT!
-bye the way....this is what that means!!!

I just came from a suzuki vinson, and in my opinion, it is one of the best handling four wheelers I have been on.
That being said, I just picked up my B.F. 2 weeks ago, and have been on it every day since. For an IRS quad, it handles very well. Suspension does not squat like I thought it would, never had any problems going up steep hills. I ride in mud most of the time, and it really impresses me and others every time I hit the holes.
And needless to say, the power is awesome too.

I've owned both. I just bought ANOTHER P700 yesterday. The BF's power is intoxicating. However, in my OPINION, the IRS is sub-par compared to the competition. It's unusually rough and almost as tippy as a Grizzly. If the rear suspension was like a Sportsman, I would still own one.

Mudblaster, I've ridden the BF 750 several times and a good friend has one.
The P-700 is so much better in almost all areas, it is really sad. The best BF is like afterbirth. I love the Prairie but would never recommend a BF -750.
The BF-650 I would recommend because it is a Prairie 650 with some cheap BF skin.
