Does any body know the top speed of an 85 atc 250r? I was told it is 72 mph. Can anyone confirm that?

Sure, depending on gearing, traction, and state of tune it certaintly isn't unreasonable to expect that speed.

 

I have hit 90 beside a ford escort on the road, it could barely leave me at top end. I can outrun most 250 dirtbikes with it. truthfully I think that this is the fastest atv/atc ever made. I dont really have any mods done to mine other than a pipe
