2003 prairie 650 ignition problems
#1
i have had my prairie motor rebuilt and it runs great. but recently the motor started cutting out. i brought it to two different places to find out the problem and got two different answers. one place said valves the other said ignition problems but they dont know where. they want to start by replacing the igniter (366.95) but still will not guarantee that this will fix the problem. the problem is the engine will at any time, mostly at high rpm,cut out for a couple of seconds then continues like nothing happend and this keeps happening and is progressivly getting worse.my issue is that i'm being nickled and dimed to death and getting nowhere, they just want to keep replacing parts that they think might fix it at my expense. please help.

The Dyna CDI sells for $240, its plug and play, Replaces your stock igniter. plus, More performance. First check your plug wires/end caps & coil connections & disconect & reconnect OEM CDI also ensure all leads to battery is tight on each end.

Thanks for your reply on my problem! I was wondering if you could give me the details on how I can get that Dyna CDI that you recommended. After further troubleshooting, I think this is my only alternative to get my ignition back in business! Thanks!

I bought my last Dyna CDI on ebay. Do a search for Dynatek CDI or Dyna CDI and I'm sure you'll find it.
PS - Have you checked your plugs? My P650 once ran poorly (similar to what you described) when my jetting was a little too rich...it would start to stumble and run poorly, but only at high speeds (50 plus MPH). I ended up dropping the main jets a few sizes and it cured my problem. Its just a suggestion.
