E-Ton90 v/s Predator90
#1
Im buying one the two for my son and was wondering how they compare on performance, and if there are aftermarket parts available for either. Id also would apperciate any comments on either one. They are close in features and the E-Ton is a couple hundred cheaper, so Im leaning towards the later. Any info. is appreciated.
Thanks,
Phil

If I had to pick between and Eton Viper and Polaris Pred-90 (and my son didn't mind either), I'd probably pick the E-Ton 90.
Why??? The Eton 90 has:
- Less Price
- Thicker chain
- Can take more water
- Less chance of stator burn out.
- Factory pre-wired "optional" lights. Depending where you live, it might even come with DRL lights.
- Padded cross member handle bar
- Rear Disc brakes.
If given the choice of other brands, I'd also look at the '05 Dinlis & DDRs. I hear they are "new & improved" and have some really great features. If you can, well worth taking another look at these brands as well.
Hope this helps...

I made my decision on which two from selection of local dealers. I always try to buy local, for many reasons, but mostly for service. I dont have a Dinli dealer within 50miles of me that I know of, but I have heard some positive feedback on those.
eton150, Who was it that gave the 90 atv of the year? Do you have a link I could look at about this?
Thanks Again

Dirtwheels mag. has a mini shootout in this months mag. They cover some issues and the Eton came out on top. What kind of riding do you plan on using it for? How old will the rider be, and what size are they?
You can get hop up parts for almost any mini quad.

My son is turning 7 in a few weeks, hes a little small for his age but has been riding since he was 3 1/2 yrs.old. Im not saying hes an expert but he does understand control and body english. He will be mostly riding on trails in our woods, they are wide, smooth, and flat. I drive my 2wd truck back there, thats how easy they are.
Hopefully that mag. is still on the shelves, Im gonna head out to get it today. Thanks newnick

Sounds like the Eton will be just right for you. Try to keep him out of the mud and water and you'll be happy. I would suggest diconnecting all the electrical connecters you can locate and putting some dielectric grease in them asap. Just cleaning these mini's starts corrosion problems in the connections. I would also pop out the key switch and spray some corrosion inhibitor in it as well, thats usually the first place it shows up. I would also check the lug nuts and spindle nuts for tightness as well as the tierod ends. These are just some of the things I've ran into.
