Need timimg chain asap!!
#1
I had forgotten about the fact that the timing chain in the motor I'm rebuilding has a kink or 5 in it, and needs to be replaced. Reassembly came to a halt rather quick today, and I need one as soon as possible. If anyone who is disassembling all these motors and such has one layin around, I'll take it off your hands quick and fast like..
Thanks for anyone who can help

Here is where I stand... The chain dropped into the cases when my buddy was handling his motor, and for some reason one day he decided to give the crank a spin. The chain binded behiend one of the washers and somewhat kinked. With a little careful readjusting, it seems to run/pivot smoothly when I roll it over my finger, and thats a lot smaller radius than the timing chain gears.
I could run it again, but that would be risky... I could order a new one, but that will be a 3-4 week wait...What would you guys suggest? Like I said it seems to run smooth, but is it worth the chance being that it is going to be slapping around in the heart of the engine where 1 slip is fatal?
