Hey! whats up America!! Just wondering if anyone else with a 450R has pressure on the tranny side? after warming up the engine for a few minutes, i open up the cap on the tranny side and air comes out, (about a little more than a can of pop). Anyone?? Or do I have a vent pluged? anyone know which one?

sounds like a plugged vent,,its the hose right behind the kick starter(not the one with the Tee in it) i think it runs up under your tank(if i remember correctly)

 

There should not be any pressure in the trasimision, only thing I can think is you over fill the oil and I don't think you need to make hole in the filler cap, you must use the HP4 with no moly oil or the Motul, I change my oil every other ride.

 

There will be some pressure build up from heat if the vent is plugged

 

Hey! THANKS! guys!! I actually rode last weekend with it like that, but I let the pressure out every hour or so, anyway I'll start with the hose behind the kick starter.
