Default 800 EFI vs. 700 EFI vs. 700 Twin vs. Scramber 500

I was out riding this weekend, and we got into this drag race down the highway. 4 quads side by side. I was on the 800, and i am about 50 pounds over the other 3 riders but they were close to the same weight. The scrambler is a 2000 500 stock. The others are all brand new and stock. Amazingly enough the scrambler was only slightly quicker off the line, and it didn't take us long to overtake it. The EFI's were definitely quicker than the 700 twin, but not by a huge difference. I had about 1 - 2 miles per hour top end on the 700 EFI. The crazy thing is how that 800 wheelies, it just pops right up. I rode a very long low wheelie the first race then all of a sudden it was like it sputtered or something and brought the front end down and the 700 EFI went by, but i caught back up. All round very fun and quite the learning experience!

800 should have been at the front of all of that, even the take off, if the scrambler took off faster than the 8, then theres somethign wrong witht that quad

Well, unfortunately im not telling you what should happen, im telling you what did happen, and the scrambler was slightly faster than the 800 out of the hole, but certainly didn't take long for me to pass him. There is nothing wrong with the 800, it is brand new and runs perfect. The one time it did like, sputter down on the wheelie tho, although it felt more like cutting out, like when a car cuts out, so im not sure about that one. The top speed i hit in the race was roughly 66 or so, which was a lil faster than the 700 efi, which was also alot quicker than i expected it to be.

Where all the bikes broken in or just off the show room floor. Usually the engines will wake up a little once you get 300-400 miles on them.

The 800 was the most broken in of the sportsmans i would say since we have had it and moved snow with it this winter, i would say about 500 on it now, so probably about 350-400 at the time of the race. The 700 twin only had a little over 150 when we raced. The 700 EFI was about 300.
