Default Nitrous hookup questions

I'm in the midst of hooking a NOS wet system, and after searching the archives and getting alot of useful info i still have a few questions...
I have a NOS fogger, and i was wondering that the difference is between funnel jets and flare jets?wheres the best place to mount a mircoswitch for wot? or is there an electronic tps switch that would be better?I'm running a rwr cdi. will the advanced timing be a problem with a 15-20 shot?wheres the best place to mount the cylinoids?

if anyone can give me some input on any of these, thatd be greatly appreciated!

Only diffrence in the jets is what line you use for them. Funnel jet uses the black noszle line and the flare uses an AN fitting. The actuall hole is all the same. So it just depends on what line you want to use. You more then likely got the NOSZLE line with your kit which works just fine. Timing will be fine with the cdi I run my vortex full curve on a 35 shot. Just make sure to run good fuel, I recomend no less the 104. I run track tech 111 it burns clean. As for mounting check out my pics page, that might give you some idea on what you want to do, but mounting is all up to you..

Check out my pics page as well. Just showing some different options.

AMD pointed out something very important, you need to modify your petcock for more flow. I installed a seperate fuelline running 1/2" hoses and hardware. Could empty my tank in no time!

The 15 shot is hardly worth running, go with a 25. I am being serious.

I will give you a couple of tips that can save your motor.

#1 Gang your grounds. You don't want a fuel ground coming loose with a live N2O solenoid.........this will ruin your day and you will say bad words.

#2 Gang your hots. (same reason as #1)

#3 Buy a 10 buck Hobbs fail safe pressure switch. Put it in line with your fuel line and set the cutoff at 4 or 5PSI (depending on the system). If you drop fuel pressure for any reason this switch will keep from ruining your day........................... and saying bad words.

yeah i already bought a pressure sensor cutoff. but how do i go about modifying my petcock? is there anything i can do with the stock, or to i have to go with a new one? if anyone has pix of where they mounted their solenoids that would help alot. (thanks amd). oh and you say 25 shot, what is safe on this motor with stock internals and rwr cdi? i would like to stay with cheapish gas, so let me know how high of octane to use for each shot. thanks
Josh

With the stock piston, 20hp is safe, 25 will break the stock piston ring lands off because it's brittle.

Your risking a lot if you have full advance on ign timing and are running cheap gas. You might be able to get away with this if you have a good forged piston and you have a built in retard map on the cd.
I would not advise running full advance on cheap gas with a stock piston. Thats my 2 cents.

why does everyone change their petcock when they run alky? Crazy painter didn't and he runs 1/8 mile drags with his and it don't run out. Just curious.
