Virgin Racer! What do I do? LOL
Yes I am gonna be entering a few races at the local fairs. I have never raced before so I don't want to be totally lost. Do I have to register with AMA, how many heats usually, how do you know when your up to race, results from race, when next heat is, all kinds of virgin questions I need answered and would appreciate very much. I ain't worried bout the riding part cuz i'm an experienced rider just need help with all the other aspects of the race. Thank you very much.

Fair races USUALLY aren't AMA here in Ohio. As far as what you need to do, call or else just show up on time and they will tell you what to do.
My advice is to just try and keep calm and not worry about much. Also don't underestimate the competition, riding is one thing, but when you line up with other racers it will be all new to you.

Kool. Just worried about signing up and missing my race or something. I'll have to give them a call and see what I gots to do. After 1st one i'll probably race all the other surrounding fairs. I know i'm gonna love it. Thx guys.

yeh u will love it get to the race early so u arent rushing go to the sign in booth and go from there they will let u know...... also dodnt do what i did first race ever in iron river wi took off out of the hole went around a corner and went to pass the 2nd place guy off the jump and he hit the ju,mp at an angle and cliped myu back end in the air my wheeler went end over end 4-5 times everyone said... he crashed 2
i ended up with a bent subframe 2 bent rims a 2 bent tie rods and a axle.... but now its finally back together and better then ever

What fair races are you going to? All the ones I know of are CRA sanctioned. If they are AMA sanctioned, then you have to become a member of the AMA before you can race those tracks. If they are AMA sanctioned, odds are they are probably District 12. Go online and search for District 12 AMA and you should find something.
