Sport 400 or Scrambler 500 2wd
#1
Hi guys!
It's been a while since I last posted here.
I am looking for your advice on the new Scrambler 500 2wd. I was thinking on buying one and sell my very softly modded Sport 400 2wd (K&N and silencer). Do you know which is faster ?
I don't have any special preference on being a 2 or 4 stroke.
Thanks

I believe stock vs. stock, they are about dead even, but throw a couple mods on the 400, and it will top out a little higher than the 500. I would keep the 400 and add a pipe and clutch kit from one of the many companies that offer them.

I agree whith Quadfather. Unless your 400 has something wrong with it, you can spend about half the money you would have to trade to make the 400 a real arm stretcher. I rode a modded 400 before, and they run circles around the stock 500s I have been on. By all means, if you want the 500 go for it, but don't be surprised if the performance isn't any better than a 400.

I raced my 400 against a friend's 500. Both were stock and the 500 beat my by about a length or two. I weigh about 210 and the kid weighs about 140. Now my 400 is modified and I know the 500 won't touch it. I'd keep the 400 and modify it. You'll probably save money that way and have a faster bike.
