Default Buying my first quad

I am looking to buy my first quad. I don't have a lot of money. Unfortunately, I can't afford the big 4. So, does anyone know if Yamoto, Kazuma, Eton or BMS are good? I am looking for a 150cc.

I am really glad to have found this forum. Thank you for the help and consideration.

I would look for a used 250EX before I bought one of the off brands. As long as it hasn't been abused and neglected the Honda will last longer and they can be had for about the same price as a 150cc offbrand.

I look at it this way, with nothing really against the off brands. If you have limited funds, you don't want to pay for repairs all the time. Something like a 250ex has a bullitproof tranny, maintenance free shaft drive, a hearty if somewhat low tech motor, and easy to find parts. The off brand stuff will need attention sooner rather than later in many cases. Some people get real lemons while some have no real probs other than routine consumables needing replacement. It is a crap shoot either way, but I would rather have better dealer support and aftermarket parts availability personally.

Thank you for the help. I have be thinking alot about what has been said. I have decided to wait and look for a good used one from a dealer I can trust. I am looking at yamaha. I have done some research and they have some good options. If i have to wait a little longer then so be it. It is summer and I have sometime before fall and winter comes. I might even rent a few and then decide on what I want. This way I can test drive before buying.

Again thank you. This forum is real helpful.

most dealers will let you test drive anything and you might want to look into a blaster the 250ex is nice but you will soon want more out of it the blaster may require some maintiance but its all relitivly easy and parts are relativly cheap go with the blaster you wont be disapointed and you can get a good used one for about $1500
