im tryin to decide which of these is a better quad for me to trade up to from a 96 300ex.

 

the kfx and the z are the same things just they are different colors. The kfx/z are better at everything compared to the 400 ex. The 400 is outdated compared to the z. that will definetly be a better buy trust me

You got it wrong buddy, the one thing Honda has over Suzuki is reliability, so that's not everything. But you are right, the Z is faster, handles better, suspension is better and other stuff.

 

I pick the EX for very tight trails and semi-technical work. It has a motor that will lug down, and doesn't mind being ridden slow. For everything else, I pick the Z!

 

yeah i agree with reconranger track/dunes = z/kfx trails/leisure = honda
and since you already had a honda you're used to them so you might just wanna stick with a brand you know and trust, or be adventurous and try somethin new. either way youll be happy

 

I think the KFX, and the Z have been proven to out perform the EX. Just depends on what your looking for, the 400EX is still a decent quad.
