Blaster replacement?
#1
Hey, Since yamaha is going to discontinue their 2-strokes does anyone have a clue what their going to replace it with or if they are going to replace it? It Doesnt make since that they wouldnt replace it cause almost everyone has owned a blaster or knows someone who has.

There was rumor the Blaster may slip through a loophole of some sort. I would love to see it get replaced with a performance oriented 250 four stroke. Something light with e-start and reverse.

Yeah, I'm with you guys. They need something in that 250cc 4-stroke class to compete with the 250ex and Z250. Those bikes, and mainly the Honda pretty much rule that. It of course would need to be e-start and have reverse. Not sure on shaft drive though. Need something to make it stand apart.
Hopefully they don't call it the Raptor 250 either!

A 250f motor is going to put the cost in the 5k's, and it would just be like having a less powerful yfz. It sounds cool, but think about it, who would want it?
